Joe Delgado - Co-Founder & Personal Trainer

Joe is an ACE certified personal trainer, holds 2 master's degrees in Business and Human Resources, and Health Systems Administration and has over 15 years of experience in the fitness industry. He is passionate about wellness and educating athletes about competing at the elite level without the use of performance enhancing drugs. Joe holds many state and national records in drug-free powerlifting and enjoys being a mentor in the sport.


Jacques-Luis Nodar

Jacques-Luis Nodar - Co-Founder & Personal Trainer

Jacques-Luis is an ACE certified personal trainer with over 15 years of experience in the fitness industry. He has enjoyed working in many facilities and with many different populations including youth groups, sports teams, and senior living facilities. He hopes to motivate people to achieve their wellness goals and lead a healthier, happier life.

Josh Best

Josh Best - Personal Trainer

Josh's journey began about 8 years ago when his younger brother sparked his interest in strength training. After a few years of lifting on his own in his garage, Josh crossed paths with a couple of great strength and conditioning coaches. Under the mentorship of these coaches, he dove deep into the world of fitness to learn proper training techniques and read every article, book, and any other references that were recommended by his mentors. Long story short, this all led Josh to pursue and achieve a personal training certification through the, National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Ever since, he has worked with people anywhere from 9 through 80 years old, athletic to non-athletic backgrounds, individuals with hip, knee, and shoulder replacements, as well as spinal fusion. If you are ready for a healthier you, he is ready to make that happen!


Jess Buss

Jess Buss - Personal Trainer

Jess is a Board Certified Exercise Physiologist through the American Society of Exercise Physiologists. She attended DeSales University where she played on the women's volleyball team and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Sport and Exercise Physiology. She is passionate about teaching everyone that exercise really is medicine and that it has the power to change lives. She's excited to help others become healthier and happier!


Marty Butler

Marty Butler - Personal Trainer

For the last 10 years I was climbing the corporate ladder for a company that consistently ranks as one of the Best Companies to work for. However, I realized that there was something missing in my life; I had a passion for fitness and knew that I wanted to help others. This led me to personal training and I went on to become certified by the American Council of Exercise (ACE) as a personal trainer. I feel like this is my true calling and I can now use my passion for health and wellness to help others. In the future I hope to develop affordable fitness programs that help our youth find their health, happiness and confidence as they pursue their dreams as well.


Kat Delorme

Kat Delorme - Personal Trainer

Kat is a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) certified personal trainer. When Kat was a freshman in college, as a dance major, she was first exposed to the gym as a tool to aid in performance. She was warned against anything that would inhibit the “ideal dancer’s body.” After rebelling with lifting weights and earning her brown belt in judo, Kat felt empowered and recognized the importance of overall wellness. She is passionate about helping other women grow stronger and more confident in and out of the gym.


Ezekiel Diemand

Ezekiel Diemand - Personal Trainer

Ezekiel began his journey into fitness as a freshman in high school, looking to get bigger and stronger for athletics. This developed into a passion that he pursued for the remainder of high school, educating himself as much as possible about training. He went on to earn a Bachelor's of Science in Fitness and Wellness Leadership from SUNY Plattsburgh and became a certified personal trainer through ACSM. Since school, he has continued to expand his knowledge through research and experience with clients that span all ages, backgrounds, and contexts. With several years of experience and a wealth of knowledge, Ezekiel uses an evidence-based approach to provide his clients with the best service possible, helping them reach whatever their goal is and having a great time doing it!


Chris Finley

Chris Finley - Personal Trainer

Chris is a ACSM certified personal trainer who is currently pursuing his bachelors degree in Exercise Science with the goal of earning a doctorate in Physical Therapy. He is passionate about correcting muscular imbalance to prevent injury through strength and conditioning as well as educating others with his scientific and analytic approach to training.


Dan Howell

Dan Howell - Personal Trainer

Dan is an ACE certified personal trainer who has spent the past decade working professionally as a graphic designer and communications specialist. After working with Jacques-Luis as his trainer for several years, Dan was inspired to start using his love of wellness to help others. He is passionate about helping people integrate wellness into their everyday lives in meaningful ways to help improve their lives. Dan and his husband have both enjoyed the benefits of an active lifestyle and an improved quality of life. As a theatre artist, Dan is also looking forward to working with the arts community to make fitness an integral part of performing.


Maureen Kellar

Maureen Kellar - Personal Trainer

Although always active and knowledgeable about nutrition, Maureen realized she needed some help to make changes. Maureen began as a client at Max Effort Training because she was frustrated that she could not lose weight while doing exercise programs that had previously worked well for her in the past. She was so happy with the support she received here and her results, she decided that she too wanted to help people similar to her that struggled with not being able to lose weight as they aged. Even though we can't prevent aging, Maureen definitely knows that we do have some control over how we do it! Maureen is certified by The American Council of Exercise (ACE) in personal training and has completed the senior fitness specialist program through ACE. She also has over 20 years of being in the medical field. She is excited to help people get healthy, fit and happy again or for the first time in their life as it is never too late to feel great!


Samantha Littrell

Samantha Littrell - Personal Trainer

Samantha graduated with a B.S. in Exercise Science from The College at Brockport in 2016. She has experience with personal training in a corporate wellness setting, as well as coaching recreational and pre-team gymnastics. Samantha has a passion for assisting clients with realistic goal-setting and creating unique programs tailored to each individual. She believes programming should be evidence-based and planned intelligently, but that it should also be fun for the client! Samantha is a competitive powerlifter and focuses on educating women on the importance of strength training for health, independence, confidence, and improving the physique.


Janna Luksha

Janna Luksha - Personal Trainer

Janna, a graduate of RIT, is a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer who is bilingual (American Sign Language is her native language and English her second language). She works with clients of all fitness levels who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing or anyone interested in learning sign language while becoming fit. She is passionate about helping others feel happier, healthier, and fit through personal training and guidance toward a healthier lifestyle!

Jenny Krieger

Jenny Krieger - Massage Therapist

Jenny received her New York License in 2014 after studying at Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage. She believes that everyone’s needs are unique to them, so she takes care to focus her full attention on each individual during their session. A variety of techniques may be used within the massage including Swedish, Myofascial Release, and Deep Tissue, to best achieve your goals. A strong proponent of giving back to the community, Jenny volunteers as a therapist at St. Joseph's Neighborhood Center, and offers a 10% discount to all active military personnel and veterans.


RJ Raspante

RJ Raspante - Massage Therapist

RJ is a Licensed Massage Therapist, graduate of Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage. After a successful career in the corporate world, he decided to pursue a new path dedicated to his lifelong passion for health, wellness, and fitness. RJ focuses on tailoring client-centric custom sessions based on individual intake and clinical assessment. RJ specializes in incorporating several massage modalities including Sports, Swedish, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, Geriatric Treatments, and Medical massage.


Emily Shortt

Emily Shortt - Massage Therapist

Emily received her Massachusetts Massage License in 2012 after graduating from Elizabeth Grady School of Massage Therapy and her New York License in 2015 after studying at Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage. Passionate about giving back to her community, Emily currently volunteers her time with 13thirty Cancer Connect and is a former Big Sister for Big Sisters of Boston. She hopes to become certified in Oncology Massage as well as Massage for Veterans. Emily loves helping people reach their wellness goals through massage.

Katie Vaughn

Katie Vaughn - Registered Dietician

Katie earned her masters degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from D’Youville College in Buffalo, NY. Her desire to become a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist started when she became a competitive athlete at a young age. She is a half marathon and full marathon runner, age group triathlete, and crossfitter.

She is a Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics and a Certified Level 1 Metabolic Efficiency Training Specialist. Metabolic Efficiency™ is a concept that teaches your body how to use nutrients more efficiently while improving overall metabolic function. This ability has profound positive impacts on health and well-being, fitness, and athletic performance.

She works with an array of clientele whether for weight loss, managing a health condition or to become a stronger athlete. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to nutrition. She meets with every client using a very individualized approach to include personalized meal plans. As well as providing guidance and motivation to achieve specific goals. If the need arises she will help work through emotional issues with food by identifying triggers and developing new strategies. She does all of this while teaching her clients the most current evidenced-based nutrition practices while weeding out all of the misconceptions.

As an avid athlete and mom, she is passionate about sharing her knowledge and experience to empower her clients to be the best version of themselves – fit, strong, active, energized, focused, time efficient, and driven to succeed in all they do.


Kayla Womeldorff

Kayla Womeldorff - Registered Dietician

Kayla is a nationally certified registered dietitian. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition from the University of Idaho, where she completed the Coordinated Program in Dietetics. In addition to her degree in Food and Nutrition, Kayla also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. A former grocery store dietitian, Kayla is an expert in providing practical tips for choosing healthier foods to both clients and the public. Kayla is a firm believer that healthy and delicious are not mutually exclusive terms, and she relishes any opportunity to help people incorporate foods they love into a healthful, nourishing diet.

When she’s not providing nutrition counseling or teaching workshops, Kayla can usually be found trying out new recipes in the kitchen, running (slowly), or drinking far too much coffee.

Crystal Diiulio - Yoga Instructor

Crystal is a nationally certified yoga instructor through Yogafit, a licensed esthetician, and has recently returned to school to pursue a degree in occupational therapy. When she tried her first yoga class over ten years ago, she was so amazed with how incredible she felt, that she knew she had to become a teacher, and bring that same experience to others. She has been teaching yoga in the Rochester area for over seven years, and loves sharing the amazing health benefits that yoga can bring.
